Mac app or web app?

The Mac app is the recorder and runs entirely on-device. The web app is the same library in a browser, with cloud providers doing the AI work through your own keys.

Rows marked “with your provider key” use the AI provider keys stored in your account vault. Keys are validated once, sealed, and never returned to a browser or device.

System requirements

  • macOS 26 Tahoe or later
  • Apple Silicon (M1+) or Intel Mac
  • ~200 MB free disk space for the app
  • Recordings are stored under ~/Library/Containers/com.cadenzapp.cadenza/

Verify the download (optional)

Cadenza is signed with an Apple Developer ID and notarised. macOS will verify the signature on first launch. If you'd like to verify manually:
