Frequently asked

How do I record a meeting?

Cadenza auto-detects when you're on a Zoom, Teams, Google Meet, or FaceTime call and starts recording. You can also press ⌘R to start manually anytime.

Where are my recordings stored?

All audio, transcripts, and summaries live on your Mac under your user library, never on a remote server. Web playback via your own Google Drive is on the roadmap for Phase 2.

What does Cadenza send to OpenAI / Anthropic / Google?

Only the transcripts you choose to summarise, sent with your own API key. Cadenza does not relay your data through any server we operate.

Can I use my own Whisper model?

Yes — Cadenza ships a built-in local Whisper option that runs entirely on your Mac, plus integrations with cloud providers if you want speed or quality trade-offs.

Will there be a Windows version?

It's on the roadmap, but no concrete date yet. Cadenza's design and visual identity are deliberately platform-agnostic so a Windows port is an option later.

Documentation

Detailed user docs are still being written. In the meantime, the in-app onboarding tour and tooltips cover most features. If something is unclear, email and I'll either explain it or fix the UX.

Status

Uptime for cadenzapp.com is monitored via UptimeRobot. There is no backend service to monitor — Cadenza itself runs entirely on your Mac.
